"Where Art meets Heart"

Meet Margaret Rattigan, an Irish Artist  living in Boyle County Roscommon. 
Margaret grew up on a farm in Drumreilly, just outside Ballinamore in County Leitrim alongside her eight siblings.
 Growing up on a farm, nature and wildlife are very important to her, it also continues to be a huge inspiration in her work to this day.

Margaret is a self taught Artist and is constantly learning new techniques and ways to enhance her work. She loves to experiment and this is what she has to say about her practice:
"I am inspired by the colour I see in the natural world, especially the beautiful landscapes and sea views that are close by where I live.  I am always spotting hidden gems and places I want to paint and this can range from the fabulous natural well known landmarks such as Benbulben or lough key to a pretty daisy I spot growing at a dainty angle in my back garden"
Margarets use off colour in her paintings and prints invokes joy and nostalgia in the viewer and can bring a special uplifting finish to the wall spaces in your home.
You might find your limited edition prints are finished with hand embellished gold and silver for that special stand out effect.
Margarets art is also available to wear with her Art jewellery range. This is where she chooses a small element in her paintings and sets a miniaturised print behind a crystal glass cabouchon to turn into Earrings and Pendants.All of them different and unique.

You can find her work on exhibition in Solas gallery Ballinamore.
 She will be launching her first ever joint Solo exhibition in May 2025, Watch this space for more news on this upcoming project.
